COVERS - Sailing Yachts and Motor Cruisers

We are able to provide the following cover services:

Sprayhoods

Our sprayhoods are individually tailored to suit your requirements and are designed to protect the yacht's cockpit from the worst of the sea and weather. They are manufactured from U.V. stable acrylic canvas and are available in a variety of colours. As the Sprayhood is individually made for each yacht, it is possible to incorporate any variation required by the customer e.g. lower the spray hood to allow visibility over the top, or vary the position of windows for maximum visibility.

A strong, tubular, stainless steel frame can be supplied, or existing steel can be used if only a replacement sprayhood is required. "Grab rails" can be incorporated into the design, providing greatly increased safety when at sea, and can even be fitted to an existing sprayhood.

The sprayhood can be attached in a number of ways, e.g. with turnbuckles or a track and usually include adjustable tensioning via straps and buckles.

Stac Pacs, Lazy Jack Systems and Mainsail covers

A number of options exist when it comes to protecting your mainsail. We offer the choice of our own design of mainsail reefing, lowering and storage system, called a "Stac Pac" or the traditional mainsail cover, either of which is available in a variety of colours.

Our Stac Pac system is incorporated with lazy jacks to guide the sail into an acrylic cover, which can then be zipped up to protect the sail from the elements and includes a detachable mast "boot" for complete protection. The Stac Pac itself is attached to the boom with the sailfoot bolt rope and then to the lazyjacks with the support of full-length removable fibreglass battens in a pocket at the top edge of the cover. This complete system offers significant safety advantages when reefing or dropping sail in rough conditions. Just go head to wind and drop it!!

As well as supplying a Stac Pac, we are also happy to quote for complete lazy jack rigging and fitting.

We are also able to produce made to measure traditional mainsail covers if required. We are happy to measure your vessel for you, or alternatively you can provide us with the measurements.
